Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Irrigation Networks Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will assist in the design, planning, and implementation of irrigation systems for various landscapes and agricultural projects. You will work closely with senior designers and project managers to develop efficient and sustainable irrigation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Assist in the design and layout of irrigation systems, including the selection and placement of irrigation devices, laterals, and mainlines.
  • QS and Plant Separation: Collaborate in the process of quantity surveying (QS) and plant separation to ensure accurate material estimates and efficient design.
  • Distribution of Devices: Support the distribution of irrigation devices and components within the design to ensure optimal water coverage and efficiency.
  • Lateral and Mainline Design: Participate in the detailed design of lateral and mainline layouts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Assist in the preparation of BOQs, ensuring all materials and components are accurately listed and quantified.
  • Time Scheduling: Contribute to the creation of project time schedules, coordinating with the project management team to ensure timely completion.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and best practices in irrigation design.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in irrigation design or a related field. Internship or project experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, , and other design software. Basic understanding of hydraulics and irrigation principles.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot design and implementation issues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design work and documentation.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and contribute to collective goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with irrigation design software (e.g., AutoCAD, RainCAD, Irricad, Land F/X).
  • Familiarity with sustainable and water-efficient irrigation practices.
  • Understanding of local and international irrigation standards and regulations.
